Wilson's Plover
Charadrius wilsonia
The Osa Peninsula, Corcovado and Monteverde are among the four atlas places where Wilson's Plover is recorded. Its records concentrate most heavily in the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Guadeloupe. The atlas holds about 143,000 open records of the bird from 30 countries, and the map shows where these records concentrate.
Because it is recorded in both hemispheres, seasons differ by region and each place page shows the months recorded there.
