Rousettus aegyptiacus
iSimangaliso Wetland Park, Lake Nakuru National Park and Kruger National Park are among the four atlas places where the Egyptian Rousette is recorded. Its records concentrate in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Jordan and Oman, and the atlas holds 609 records of the species across 19 countries.
Recorded seasons differ by region, and each place page shows the months where observations are most frequent.
These are open occurrence records, so they show where people looked for and recorded the Egyptian Rousette as much as where it lives. Cells are up to 25 km across, and every location is generalised to its cell.
Generalised encounter areas, not exact locations. Each shape is a grid cell coloured by how likely the species is there.
Conservation status not assessed here yet, so every location is generalised to its grid cell.
