Rhinolophus fumigatus
Kruger National Park, Aberdare National Park and Lake Nakuru National Park are the three atlas places where the Rüppell's Horseshoe Bat is recorded. Records of this mammal concentrate in Kenya, South Africa, Angola, Malawi and Nigeria. The atlas contains 228 records of the species across nine countries.
Because these records span both hemispheres, the recorded seasons differ by region. Each place page shows the particular months when the bat is recorded there.
These are open occurrence records, so they show where people looked for and recorded the Rüppell's Horseshoe Bat as much as where it lives. Cells are up to 25 km across, and every location is generalised to its cell.
Generalised encounter areas, not exact locations. Each shape is a grid cell coloured by how likely the species is there.
Conservation status not assessed here yet, so every location is generalised to its grid cell.
