Redunca redunca
Tarangire, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are among the ten atlas places where the Common Reedbuck is recorded. Its records concentrate most heavily in Benin, Burkina Faso, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Across the atlas, there are 494 open records of this mammal from ten countries. As a member of the Bovidae family, Redunca redunca is also frequently recorded in the Maasai Mara and Nairobi National Park. This map represents the species' full range within the atlas territories.
These are open occurrence records, so they show where people looked for and recorded the Common Reedbuck as much as where it lives. Cells are up to 25 km across, and every location is generalised to its cell.
Generalised encounter areas, not exact locations. Each shape is a grid cell coloured by how likely the species is there.
Conservation status not assessed here yet, so every location is generalised to its grid cell.
