Raphicerus campestris
Kruger National Park, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and Etosha National Park are among 25 atlas places where the Steenbok is recorded. Its records concentrate in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana, though it is also recorded in Kenya and Zimbabwe. The atlas holds about 130 open records of this mammal across eight countries. These records also extend to Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta. Raphicerus campestris is recorded across its full mapped range.
These are open occurrence records, so they show where people looked for and recorded the Steenbok as much as where it lives. Cells are up to 25 km across, and every location is generalised to its cell.
Generalised encounter areas, not exact locations. Each shape is a grid cell coloured by how likely the species is there.
Conservation status not assessed here yet, so every location is generalised to its grid cell.
