Praomys jacksoni
Mount Kenya, Mahale Mountains and Aberdare National Park are the three atlas places where Jackson's Praomys is recorded. Records of this mammal gather most thickly in Congo - Kinshasa, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi and Tanzania. The atlas holds 9,470 records of the species across ten countries.
Recorded seasons differ by region. Each place page in the atlas shows the particular months when records occur there.
These are open occurrence records, so they show where people looked for and recorded the Jackson's Praomys as much as where it lives. Cells are up to 25 km across, and every location is generalised to its cell.
Generalised encounter areas, not exact locations. Each shape is a grid cell coloured by how likely the species is there.
Conservation status not assessed here yet, so every location is generalised to its grid cell.
