Ichneumia albicauda
Samburu National Reserve, Nairobi National Park and Amboseli National Park are among the six atlas places where the White-tailed Mongoose is recorded. Its records concentrate in Kenya, Djibouti, Benin, Uganda and Ghana, with 377 records currently held in the atlas from 12 countries. These records represent its full range on the map rather than a partial concentration.
These are open occurrence records, so they show where people looked for and recorded the White-tailed Mongoose as much as where it lives. Cells are up to 25 km across, and every location is generalised to its cell.
Generalised encounter areas, not exact locations. Each shape is a grid cell coloured by how likely the species is there.
Conservation status not assessed here yet, so every location is generalised to its grid cell.
