Graphiurus murinus
Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Okavango Delta and Arusha National Park are among the eight atlas places where the Forest African Dormouse is recorded. Its 306 records concentrate most frequently in Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, Burundi and Congo - Kinshasa. This mammal, also known as Graphiurus murinus, appears in records across ten countries in total. It is also recorded in Mount Kenya and Ruaha national parks.
These are open occurrence records, so they show where people looked for and recorded the Forest African Dormouse as much as where it lives. Cells are up to 25 km across, and every location is generalised to its cell.
Generalised encounter areas, not exact locations. Each shape is a grid cell coloured by how likely the species is there.
Conservation status not assessed here yet, so every location is generalised to its grid cell.
