Damaliscus lunatus
Okavango Delta, Serengeti National Park and Kruger National Park are among 12 atlas places where the Common Tsessebe is recorded. Its records concentrate in Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Botswana and Uganda. In total, the atlas holds 292 open records of this mammal from 11 countries.
Because it is recorded in both hemispheres, seasons differ by region and each place page shows the months recorded there.
These are open occurrence records, so they show where people looked for and recorded the Common Tsessebe as much as where it lives. Cells are up to 25 km across, and every location is generalised to its cell.
Generalised encounter areas, not exact locations. Each shape is a grid cell coloured by how likely the species is there.
Conservation status not assessed here yet, so every location is generalised to its grid cell.
