Afronycteris nanus
Kruger National Park, Tarangire National Park and Samburu National Reserve are among the seven atlas places where the Banana Bat is recorded. Its records concentrate in South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya, though records also exist in Malawi and Angola. The atlas holds 185 records of the species across 12 countries.
Seasons for these records differ by region, and each place page shows the months when the bat was recorded there.
These are open occurrence records, so they show where people looked for and recorded the Banana Bat as much as where it lives. Cells are up to 25 km across, and every location is generalised to its cell.
Generalised encounter areas, not exact locations. Each shape is a grid cell coloured by how likely the species is there.
Conservation status not assessed here yet, so every location is generalised to its grid cell.
